Local People Dorking | After School Multi-Sports

Do you live in the Goodwyns or Chartdowns Estates in Dorking? Want to try out a variety
of sports for free?

Join us at our after school multi-sports sessions at St John’s C of E Primary School and develop new skills whilst having fun!

Sessions are FREE and for children aged 10-16 years old.

When

Every Tuesday (during term-time)
3.15-4.00pm – session for St John’s C of E Primary School pupils
4.00-5.00pm – open session

First session starts Tuesday 21 February and will include a bikeability session for St John’s pupils.

Sports Leaders

We are also looking to recruit sports leaders from Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) to gain a Sports Leaders UK day award with potential for progression to complete a Level 1 certificate in Sports Leadership.

Join our steering group

The Goodwyns and Chartdowns Estates have been specially selected to receive Local People funding from the People’s Health Trust, generated through the Health Lottery. This new initiative will be
developed by national charity Youth Sport Trust in partnership with YMCA East Surrey.

If you would like to find out more and be a part of the Local People Group to decide how the funding should be spent and which projects would make a positive difference to your neighbourhood, please come along to the following meetings. All local people are welcome – parents, young people, councillors,
teachers, sports leaders etc.
