Sunday 14 May 2017
Team up to row the distance of the English Channel on our rowing machines and help raise money for the YMCA to build brighter futures for those who are vulnerable and disadvantaged in East Surrey.
10 teams will battle it out to row the width of the English Channel in the fastest time and take home the Channel Challenge trophy!
With one Concept2 rowing machine per team, participants take it in turns to reach the combined distance of 21 miles (34km). Linked to an interactive screen, rowers and spectators can enjoy the excitement of teams racing and all entrants will receive a medal for taking part.
Money raised from the event will help us build a unique Inclusive Sports Facility in Redhill, Surrey – a centre of excellence for disability sport, health and wellbeing.
