We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our volunteer Board of Trustees to help change lives in East Surrey.
YMCA East Surrey is a vibrant, local charity that aims to help everyone, regardless of age or ability, to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle. Our wide range of services include children’s activities, youth work, disability projects, counselling, supported housing, health & wellbeing.
You will use your skills and experience to guide us through exciting times, shaping our governance, contributing to our strategic future and acting as an ambassador for all aspects of our work.
There is no need to have trustee experience to apply, but a keen desire to support our work is essential.
We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have professional qualifications and experience in commercial property, planning or architecture.
As a Trustee you will receive:
- Induction, training & reimbursable expenses
- Opportunities to make strategic decisions and develop new skills
- Special trustee gym membership rate of £10 per year
- The chance to improve the lives of local people and communities The expected time commitment is eight meetings per year (four Board and four other committee or Advisory Group meetings) held in Redhill or Reigate, plus one full strategy day and ad hoc support and advice.
