YMCA East Surrey is recruiting for a full time Housing Support Worker in order to provide housing management and support for residents in their personal and social development, in order to enable them to move onto independent living and accommodation. We support young people who require low – medium levels of support who are aged 16-30 years old.
In the last year, YMCA East Surrey has become a registered provider of social housing, which provides us with an opportunity to re-mould and re-shape our services, centred around the young people who we support. Job Purpose – To provide housing support for residents in their personal and social development in order to enable them to move onto independent living and accommodation
Location – Redhill, Surrey
Hours of work – 40 hours per week including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
The shifts are on a three week rota consisting of:
- Week 1: Three day week (Tues – Thurs | 11:00 – 19:00)
- Week 2: Five day week (Mon – Fri | 07:45 – 15:45)
- Week 3: Seven day week (Mon – Sun | 11:00 – 19:00 and 13:30 – 21:30)
Salary – £23,768 per annum (plus up to £2,000 on call p.a.)
Annual Leave – 160 hours per annum pro rata plus bank holidays. The holiday year runs from 1 April – 31 March. An incremental increase applies with service and commences after 2 years completed service increasing to a maximum entitlement of 200 hours after 6 years’ service.
The post holder will be entitled to free use of YMCA fitness centre and half price childcare for dependents. There is free parking available at Hillbrook House and at other YMCA East Surrey buildings that you may be attending for meetings or training.
