Jobs – Out of School Childcare Manager (12 Month FTC – Mat cover)

Job purpose – YMCA East Surrey is looking to recruit an experienced, and enthusiastic, individual to manage the Out of School Childcare department including ensuring high quality of services and looking into development of these services. Our After School Club and Holiday Playscheme are very popular in the area and we have an attendance rate of 70-100% across our schemes.

This summer will see our holiday playscheme delivered at Earlswood Junior School, ahead of the opening of our brand new Inclusive Sports Facility which is due to open at the end of September. Following this, the outside play area at our Sports & Community Centre will be revamped and have brand new play equipment supplied. 

The ideal candidate is an extremely organised and motivated individual who can manage coordinators to deliver stimulating and exciting childcare services for children aged 0 – 12 years’ old.

Hours of work

Term time – Monday to Friday 10:30-18:30

School Holidays – Monday to Friday 08:15 -16:15

Salary  £28,000 per annum

Location – Redhill

Annual Leave – 4 weeks which due to the nature of the role is to be taken in term time, plus bank holidays. Holidays increase after 2 years service to a maximum of 5 weeks after 6 years service. 

Benefits – The post holder will be entitled to free use of the YMCA Fitness Centre, and half price childcare for dependents.

There is free parking available at YMCA East Surrey sites and YMCA East Surrey operates a Bike to Work Scheme.
