Disability Play / Youth Leader (Term Time Saturdays) | Across Surrey and West Sussex

Are you passionate about working with children with disabilities and hold a level 3 qualification in childcare / health & social care or similar? Are you able to run inclusive fun sessions for children aged 5-12 and want to make a difference to children’s and families lives? If so, this post could be for you! This post has the option of additional hours being available during school holidays.

Job purpose: YMCA East Surrey is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated individual to deliver stimulating and exciting short breaks services for children with complex needs and disabilities on Saturday’s during term time. Short breaks services provide children with disabilities enjoyable experiences away from their primary carers, which contributes to their personal and social development and reduces social isolation.

Hours of work: 9.00am to 5.00pm on Saturday's during term time only. This post also has options for additional hours during school holidays.

Location: Epsom &Ewell: - Linden Bridge School, Worcester Park, Mole Valley: West Hill School, Leatherhead West Sussex: Desmond Anderson School, Crawley Please specify your desired location in your application form

Salary / pay rate: £12.88 per hour, which equated to £4,222 per annum including holiday pay

Annual leave: 4 weeks pro rata plus bank holidays, this will be discussed at interview as it will depend on the working pattern. Holidays increase after 2 years’ service to a maximum of 5 weeks’ pro-rata after 6 years’ service.
