Pre-School Practitioner Apprentice | Merstham

Job purpose: While completing their level three early years educator course through Best Practice Network, the Pre-School Practitioner Apprentice will be a valuable assistant to the YMCA pre-school team in delivering the highest quality of care and curriculum in line with Ofsted guidelines. They will inspire by delivering an exciting, child-led, play based curriculum. In the holidays when the preschool is not running, the apprentice will develop their skills and knowledge by working on our Y-Kids Holiday Club or a disability scheme.

Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week | 08:30-15:30 year round. Hours can be discussed at interview.

Location: Merstham, Surrey

Salary / pay rate: £4.81 per hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.

Annual leave: Four weeks (pro-rata) plus bank holidays usually to be taken during school holidays when your attendance at work is not required. Holidays increase after two years service to a maximum of five weeks pro-rata after six years service. The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year
