Our work with people with disabilities is one of the central parts of what we do here at YMCA East Surrey. This is a great opportunity to support our young adults with disabilities aged 16-30 to undertake opportunities in a variety of disciplines including cooking, sports and gardening.
Job purpose: Providing 1-1 care for young people within the settings and on trips and outings to keep them safe and engaged within the activities. The role will involve working in a range of different settings which provides activities for young people and adults with disabilities
Hours of work: Your hours of work will be on average 40 hours per week. Monday 08:30–16:30 Tuesday 08:30–16:30 Wednesday 08:30–15:30 Thursday 08:30–16:30 Friday 12:00 - 21:00 You will occasionally be required to work in the evening but will be given notice of this
Location: Based from YMCA Sovereign Centre, Reigate with frequent delivery also in Redhill
Salary / pay rate: £16,016 - £17,076.80 per annum dependent on age
Annual leave: Four weeks plus bank holidays. Holidays increase after two years service to a maximum of five weeks after six years service. The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year
Benefits: The post holder will be entitled to free use of the YMCA East Surrey fitness centre in Redhill and half price YMCA childcare for dependents. There is free parking available at Sovereign Centre. YMCA East Surrey also operates a Bike to Work Scheme
