YMCA East Surrey runs the new Horley Family Centre on behalf of Surrey County Council. We are working closely with our partner providers – Welcare Redhill, Epsom Downs Primary School and Furzefield Primary (The Red Oak) across the area of Reigate and Banstead to meet the needs of local families.
We are located at the Horley Young People and Family Centre, The Old Fire Station, Albert Road, Horley, RH6 7JA , at the heart of the Horley community and are a ‘one-stop shop’ for children under 11 and their families. We provide advice, information, family support, courses, activities and much more.
Please send us your feedback on any activities or groups you have attended at the Family Centre, as this will help us make sure we’re providing the right services as well as where we need to improve.
As you may know there have been changes to children’s centres and how Surrey County Council supports families. The new approach will involve Surrey County Council focusing its resources on helping the families most in need of support, which means that some of the existing children’s centres have closed and others have become Family Centres. Surrey County Council will no longer provide universal services for all families at Family Centres, but other organisations, such as health visitors, may offer these at the centres and at other community venues.
You can use the Surrey Family Information Directory to find universal and other services, support groups, activities, events and more.
The changes will be implemented at different times across Surrey’s 11 districts and boroughs. For up-to-date information on what is happening in each area and for more information on the new Family Centre offer, please visit the Surrey Family Centre website.
