‘Don’t Lose the Plot’ is a horticultural project working with young people who have additional needs living in the East Surrey area.
Gardening has many benefits: physical, cognitive, social and psychological. We want to promote these benefits to our young people encouraging them to develop as individuals and to become active members of their local community through gardening.
Young people have the opportunity to grow fruit, vegetables and flowers on our allotment and garden out in the community at local parks and clearing allotment plots with Reigate & Banstead council.
We work on our allotment plot through the year. Our new poly-tunnel and wheelchair accessible raised beds make the space suitable for all abilities in all weathers.
Young people need to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for gardening; waterproof jacket if raining, hat and sun cream for sunny weather etc.
Wednesdays (term-time only) | 09:00-14:00 (09:00-14:30 from 24 April)
