Welcome to YMCA Sovereign Preschool

We offer your children the opportunity to grow and develop through play and discovery. You can be confident that your child will embark on their educational journey in this vibrant setting with exceptional support from our team, where children’s natural curiosity is ignited and nurtured to help children belong, contribute and thrive.

Our modern facilities enhance our engaging Early Years curriculum. We offer a range of activities in our bright and welcoming setting, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, including in our stimulating garden and through having the opportunity to take part in Forest School, Beach School and at our YMCA allotment.

Our team develop strong relationships with every child, so they can track progress and tailor their teaching to support children’s individual needs and interests. This connection, along with the friendships they develop, gives the children a sense of belonging within our community, creating confidence and assurance that carries them into their school years.

YMCA Sovereign Pre-School in Reigate offers high-quality education for children aged 2-5 years. The Pre-School follows the Early Years Foundation Stage and the ‘Development Matters’ Framework.

Opening times

YMCA Sovereign Pre-School is open for 38 weeks a year (term-time). We are closed during school holidays, half-terms, and bank holidays

Monday to Friday | 08:30-14:45

Full Day session | 08:45-14:35
Morning session* | 08:30 – 11:30
Afternoon session* | 11:45-14:45

* min. two half-day sessions a week.

Fees

2 year olds | £8 per hour
3-4 year olds | £7 per hour

Early Years Funding

We accept the following funding:

Under 2s Working Parent Entitlement (Up to 30 hours)
3 and 4 year old Universal Funded Entitlement (15 hours)
3 and 4 year old Extended Funded Entitlement (Up to 30 hours)

Peace of mind

YMCA East Surrey is a leading provider of under 5’s activities and out of school childcare, priding ourselves on our inclusive practice. Our team is fully committed to the highest standards of safety and educational excellence. Every staff member holds an Enhanced DBS check and completes regular and advanced training to stay ahead of industry updates.

We take pride in our specialist capability to support children with a wide range of learning needs and disabilities. We are a ‘Total Communication Setting’, where Makaton, signing and symbols are used throughout the day.

To ensure every child thrives, we maintain attentive staffing ratios of 1:5 for 2–3 year olds and 1:8 for our 3–5 year pre-schoolers.”
