Free and confidential counselling for young people aged 14-24
Young people come to us for a wide variety of reasons. Typical issues include low mood and depression, anxiety and panic attacks, family breakdown, sexual, physical or mental abuse, self-harm and bullying.
“Counselling here is a safe, friendly environment and I felt like everything I said was my choice and I could trust my counsellor” Female, 16.
We offer weekly counselling sessions, which last for around 50 minutes. The length of time each person attends depends on the complexity of their issues and their own wishes. We mainly offer the opportunity to attend for 12 weekly sessions, although some young people may find that fewer sessions are needed.
“My sessions have been excellent. The counsellor has truly been fully supportive and taken the time to listen and help me to realise what it is that I need. I have made decisions I would not otherwise have made and feel all the more positive for it. I am not scared of the future anymore now that I have the tools and resilience to cope.” Male, 24
