Climb the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales
The Three Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in ‘one go’. These peaks are:
- Ben Nevis in Scotland | 1,345m (4,413ft)
- Scafell Pike in England | 978m (3,209ft)
- Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in Wales | 1,085m (3,560ft)
Your three peaks challenge starts at the foot of Ben Nevis, in the spectacularly beautiful setting of the Scottish Highlands, before taking in Scafell Pike in the Lake District and finishing at the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Mt Snowdon) in North Wales. This challenge will see you tested to the limit as you ascend and descend the three mountains and we strongly recommend you take part in our free training walks.
Many teams aim to complete the challenge in 24 hours or less. It is a physically and mentally demanding team event that tests the best, but delivers a huge sense of achievement!
Cost
£240pp – includes travel from and back to Redhill and all accommodation.
Training
Everyone taking part in the Three Peaks challenge can also access free fitness/walking training sessions once a month on Sundays and every Wednesday evening on the North Downs in Reigate. We strongly recommend you join as many free training sessions as you can to build the walking fitness needed for this event.
These training sessions will start in 2026. All are welcome to attend, whether you are booked on a YMCA Challenge Event or not.
Fundraise for us to transform young lives in East Surrey!
All money raised from our 2026 challenge events will go towards our Life Change Fund set up to help young people belong, contribute and thrive through YMCA East Surrey’s charitable projects.
The entry fee purely covers the cost of the event and our minimum sponsorship amount is £500pp to help young people belong, contribute and thrive through YMCA East Surrey’s charitable projects.
Join us in making a difference and creating a brighter future for young people.
