YMCA East Surrey’s Wellbeing Coordinators offer support to children and young people, aged 8-18, to help support mental health and emotional wellbeing.

When a child or young person is referred, a Wellbeing Coordinator will meet with them to help identify goals and achieve positive change through an outcome-based approach.

Support might include:

  • Regular 1:1 meetings (up to 8 weeks) or small group support
  • Getting tailored advice and guidance
  • Help to access relevant resources
  • Help to attend local groups
  • Finding other support in the local community
  • Parent workshops

The Wellbeing Coordinator can support young people with a range of emotional and mental health challenges such as anxiety, low mood, emotion management, bullying, loss, self-esteem, body image, friendship and relationship issues, as well as many other concerns.

Where we work

Meetings will take place somewhere where the young person feels comfortable, that could be at school, online, at a YMCA East Surrey centre or elsewhere in the local community.

We cover the following areas: Epsom & Ewell, Reigate & Banstead, Tandridge.
