YMCA Fun Run and Sports Festival
Sunday 3 May 2020 | Priory Park, Reigate
With a choice of 5 and 1 mile fun runs and taster sessions and demonstrations from local sports clubs – this is a perfect family day out for everyone to enjoy and try something new
There are races for adults and children of all ages and abilities. The main aim is participation and we would like as many families as possible to join in on the day, whatever your fitness level! The adult 5 mile race follows a loop on local lanes whilst the adult and junior 1 mile fun runs stay within the grounds of this beautiful park. All participants receive an exclusive YMCA East Surrey race t-shirt and commemorative medal.
There will be a range of catering stands, bouncy castle, face painting and plenty of sports to try out. You could try traditional sports such as football and golf or more extreme sports such as windsurfing and martial arts. The central arena will host displays from local dance and gymnastics groups and we will also have an activity passport on the day; have a go at five activities to win a prize!

Can you raise £20 for children like Henry?
Yippee and Yip4Youth are YMCA East Surrey’s warm and welcoming Saturday and holiday play schemes for children and young people aged 5-18 with a wide range of disabilities and complex needs held across East Surrey and West Sussex.
Yippee provides age appropriate activities for young people, ensuring that they can play with friends and try out new activities, whilst giving families a vital break.
‘Having the Yippee club means that we as parents have peace of mind knowing that our son is cared for in a safe, loving and caring environment giving him time to meet and interact with other children and get involved in loads of different activities.’
Your support helps keep these schemes running and ensures that all families with disabled children can access them.
£20 will pay for a bursary place enabling a young person with disabilities to attend a Saturday Short Breaks activity day
£100 will pay for a child with disabilities to attend a week of stimulating holiday scheme activities
Your support helps keep these schemes running and we appreciate any amount you can raise.
Read more about our tips on fundraising or speak to a member of our team who will be more than happy to help you as you raise money to raise hope and opportunities for vulnerable and disadvantaged adults, children and young people across East Surrey.
A huge thank you to our sponsors for supporting the YMCA Fun Run.
