Red Oak Family Centre

YMCA East Surrey Family Centres offer a wide range of activities and services for parents and carers of children aged 0-18 years (up to 25 years with additional needs and disabilities). As part of the Families First programme, we are here to support and guide parents and carers enabling them to belong, contribute and thrive.

We help families with all aspects of family life including one-to-one targeted support with parenting and relationship challenges to help parents and carers to grow in confidence to manage any future difficulties. YMCA Family Support Workers are experienced, friendly professionals who seek to support families to achieve their best outcomes.

YMCA Family Centres, in partnership with other local providers, offer a range of parenting programmes and group sessions. Our groups are a place for parents and carers to develop their own skills and connect with others. Our groups and classes range from one-off opportunities to regular weekly sessions, and you can choose which ones are best for you.

Stay & Play
Mondays | 10:30- 12:00

Sessions will run on 15 & 22 September, 13, 20 & 27 October

A drop-in play session for parents/carers with children aged 18 months to 5 years who live in Reigate & Banstead Borough. Younger siblings welcome to attend.

Stay & Play is a fun session for parents and children to enjoy together. It includes singing, art & crafts, play time and a snack. Our Senior Play Practitioner is also available each week to offer child related advice including topics such as behaviour, potty training and school readiness.

Baby Massage
Mondays (3 week course) | 13:30-14:30

A 3-week workshop being held on 13, 20 & 27 October for non-mobile babies (from 8 weeks old) and caregivers.

Learn baby massage with a qualified instructor to:
Build attachment with your baby
Support baby’s development
Ease teething, colic and wind
Aid sleep
Meet other parents

£15 for all 3 sessions – booking essential. Payment by bank transfer – details will be emailed to you when you have booked the course.

Tuesdays | 10:30- 12:00

Sessions run: 16, 23 & 30 September, 7, 14, 21 & 28 October

A lovely, relaxed and friendly session for parents and their babies up to 18 months. This group is ideal for families who are looking for support with:

Play opportunities
Social development
Building confidence as a new parent
