The cycling challenge was organised by YMCA East Surrey, with the first three-day cycling team of 30 departing on 5th June and the two-day team of 3 leaving on 6th June.

The cyclists actively trained together since January and cycled 210 miles to reach the city of Le Mans, best known for its famous motor race. Every participant raised cash through sponsorship and funds are still coming in.

YMCA East Surrey CEO Ian Burks, who participated in the challenge, said, “The weather was grim but spirits were high throughout the challenge. It was an exhilarating experience to be in the company of so many supportive fundraisers cycling over 200 miles in support of our Life Change Fund.”
