YMCA Fun Run and Sports Festival
Sunday 30 April 2023 | Priory Park, Reigate

We hope you had a fantastic day at the YMCA Fun Run – please save the date for next year’s event on Sunday 5 May 2024!

YMCA Fun Run & Sports Festival is back in Reigate’s Priory Park on Sunday 30 April! Join us for this inclusive running & sporting charity event.

  • 1 mile adult & junior fun runs
  • 5 mile adult race
  • YMCA Fun Run technical t-shirt and medal for all runners
  • Sports Festival showcasing local sports clubs and lots of food and event stalls!

You don’t have to be fast (although there are prizes for those that are!), the main aim is getting the community out and taking part! The adult 5 mile race follows a loop on local lanes whilst the adult and junior 1 mile fun runs stay within the grounds of the beautiful Priory Park in Reigate.

All participants receive an exclusive YMCA race technical t-shirt and commemorative sustainable wooden medal.

So gather your family, friends and colleagues and join us for a fun-filled day out in Priory Park. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun day out, there’s something for everyone at the YMCA Fun Run & Sports Festival.

Sports Festival

Working in partnership with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, there will be plenty of food and drinks stalls as well as climbing wall, safe archery and bouncy castle. The Sports Festival welcomes local sports clubs who will be offering free tasters of their sports, with a central arena hosting displays – making this the perfect family day out for everyone to enjoy and try something new.

All children will receive an activity passport in their race number packs. Collect stamps by taking part in different sporting activities and you can collect a free prize on the day!

Help us to transform lives in East Surrey!

Whilst there is no minimum fundraising target for this event, we ask that you consider setting up a fundraising page to help transform young lives in East Surrey.

All money raised from our 2023 challenge events will go toward our Life Change Fund. In 2023, this fund aims to support our Y-Bus Appeal to fund a mobile youth club on wheels to reach young people in areas where there is little or no youth provision.

Our trained YMCA youth workers will take the bus out to young people in hard-to-reach communities and provide an informal setting for activities, support and discussion, as well as provide signposting to other services if needed.

The bus will have a small seating area inside and will be kitted out with a games console, iPad and TV. The bus will have its own generator to run a microwave and a toaster, and provide hot drinks and other refreshments.

We need your help!
You can help the Y-Bus get on the road by fundraising for us. We aim to keep our entry fees as close to cost price as possible so even raising a small amount will have a big impact if everyone takes part. So please consider opening a fundraising page and raising a few pounds.

Routes

All races are well marshalled and start on the grass to the south of Reigate Priory School. The main adult race follows a 5 mile loop around country lanes to the west of Reigate before returning to the finish at the start point in Priory Park with a water station en route. The 1 Mile races use the same start and finish as the 5 mile but stay within the park following a flat route including a clockwise lap of the pond. Free refreshments are available for all runners.

Results

All races will be chip timed by Results Base and a link to the results will be published on this page on race day. Please note that results will be searchable by race number, name or club.

Please contact challenge@ymcaeastsurrey.org.uk if you do not want your results to be displayed (or update the privacy settings in your Results Base profile).
