Financial support to access YMCA holiday clubs
At YMCA East Surrey, we aim to provide activities for children that are great fun and affordable.
To ensure every child can access our holiday clubs, we can offer free or reduced places to families who need additional support.
How to apply
If you would like to apply for support to access our holiday club, please follow the guidelines detailed below:
Please contact Chrissie Larkins to request a Children’s Services bursary form.
- State briefly the reasons why you are applying – due to low income, a crisis situation at home, or due to a referral from social services, GP, school, etc.
- List the dates you are requesting.
- State the amount of money you are in a position to pay towards the total cost of the booking (e.g. you are able to contribute 50% towards the total cost).
- Include a copy of an official document to support your application will also be required, e.g. income support letter, child tax credits letter, welfare letter from a social worker, etc.
Please note, applications must be received at least two weeks prior to the first date you are requesting.
Your application will be processed as soon as possible. All applications will first go to the Head of Children’s Services, then onto YMCA East Surrey’s Board of Trustees, before a decision can be made. Although we would never discourage anyone from applying for financial support, please be aware that there are often a large number of families who apply for financial support, therefore unfortunately a fully completed application does not guarantee a successful outcome.
For all applications, you will be required to provide up to date supporting documentation, however if your circumstances do not change, information can be transferred to another request.
Once the decision has been made, a confirmation letter will be sent to you, detailing what has been awarded.
