Disability Sessional Worker | Epsom & Ewell

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic sessional workers to engage and inspire children and young people with additional needs across our Epsom and Ewell holiday and weekend children’s and youth clubs at Worcester Park and Tadworth.

Being a YMCA sessional worker is an excellent way to fit in a job around studies or other commitments, as the hours are very flexible.

Job purpose: To assist in the delivery of high quality exciting activities for children and young people who have a range of additional needs and disabilities. YMCA services provide children and young people with disabilities enjoyable experiences away from their primary carers, which contributes to their personal and social development and reduces social isolation. The successful applicant will have a confident, enthusiastic, kind, caring and influential approach with an inherent enjoyment of working with children. This person will ensure that day to day activities are safe and enjoyable for the young people.

Hours of work: Saturdays 09:00 – 17:00 (Term time only) School Holidays – Tuesday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00 (number of weeks of school holidays to be worked will depend on the scheme – please see job advertisement)

Location: Epsom & Ewell, (Linden Bridge School, Worcester Park and YMCA Phoenix Youth Centre, Tadworth

Salary / pay rate: £7.04 per hour aged under 18, £10.18 per hour aged 18 to 23 £10.42 per hour aged 23 and over

Annual leave: Four weeks (pro-rata) plus bank holidays. This is to be discussed at interview. Holidays increase after two years service to a maximum of five weeks pro-rata after six years service. The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year.
